The Future of Working Cultural Landscapes: Parks, Partners and Local Products, October 21 – 22. Hosted by Cuyahoga Valley National Park and the Cuyahoga Valley Countryside Conservancy in partnership with the NPS Conservation Study Institute and Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park. Referencing the recent publication of Stewardship Begins with People: An Atlas of Places, People & Hand-Made Products, the workshop will:

  • share innovation and best practices to preserve and protect landscape character, and promote sustainability;

  • identify opportunities, challenges and next steps for parks and partners to advance this work; and

  • stablish a working network of park managers, non-profit organizations, cooperating associations, concessioners, and producers.

A workshop program will be forthcoming in June 2008, at which time registration will begin. Please note that travel dates for the workshop are October 20 and October 23.
