This initiative, started by the Department of the Interior in 2003, strives to build national support for volunteers to help protect and improve public lands.

APPL, as a charter partner of this campaign, has promoted the program and showed support by

Staffing News:

The Grand Canyon Association board has chosen Susan Schroeder as the association’s new executive director. Ms. Schroeder is currently the Vice President of the NAU Foundation and Interim Vice President of University Advancement at Northern Arizona University. She looks forward to continuing the legacy of GCA’s mission of supporting Grand Canyon National Park’s education and scientific research. Ms. Schroeder will begin her new position at GCA on the South Rim on July 21.

Mesa Verde Museum Association (MVMA) executive director Tracey Chavis is leaving the cooperating association community. Sheryl Merritt is serving as interim director. She can be reached at MVMA’s offices at 970-529-4445.

Oregon Paleo Lands Institute (OPLI) has chosen Will Boettner as their new Executive Director.
